Flying Eagles striker, Emeka Chinonso, has declared his readiness to work hard and showcase his skills to the world. The lanky striker who plays for Brooke Football Academy in England is bullish of his chances and says he is fully prepared as the Flying Eagles represent Nigeria at the 2019 All African Games.
He was part of Paul Aigbogun’s team to the U-20 world cup in Poland but could not see action as the team crashed out at the round of 16 after a painful loss to Senegal.
“I am fully prepared because at the world cup, I was not given a chance to perform. So this time around, I believe I will showcase myself to the world.”
Any striker that scores extraordinary goals is the delight of coaches. Emeka has proven to be that kind of striker with his well taken goals even from difficult angles. One of those goals was in training as he drew applause from fans and journalists who watched the team train. http://www.bellsnews.com/sports/sarah-godwin-announced-as-nwpl-referee-of-the-week/
When asked about the goal, he said: “I have been practicing every day because there is no time to rest. So it is not a surprise that I scored that goal”
He is also well aware of the competition for shirts in the team and he is not resting on his laurels “If you rest, another person takes your place. So I just have to keep working hard.”
Ordinarily, one would expect him to think about moving away from the academy to a mainstream football club. He shares this expectation too “I am fully ready because right now, my manager is trying his best possible to see me get a good club in Europe.”
As Nigerians expect the flying Eagles to do well at the All African Games, getting the right set of players is a good starting point.
