“The LMC must build on the successes of last season”, those were the words of Coach Samson Unuanel while responding to newsmen in an online interview over the weekend.

Coach Samson David Unuanel who is a veteran tactician, obtained his International coaching certificate from the famous HENEEFF Sports school in Germany, and had also worked with top football Clubs in Nigeria including Enyimba FC and also worked with the national under-20 team (The Flying Eagles) and The Senior Women National Team (The Super Falcons).

Coach Unuanel have made a name for himself in Nigerian football circle and he opened up to newsmen on his experiences in Nigeria football.

“During my playing days I was a pretty nice footballer but I got injured in 1989 during a game against Enugu Rangers while playing for Niger Tornadoes, I treated the injury, hoping it will go away but it appeared like it had come to stay, so I had no option than to quit playing the game” he said

Talking about his football philosophy Coach Unuanel said ” i love to play my game and i love given grassroot players opportunity to express themsevles ,i believe in cohesive football i love playing hard and result oriented football as well”

He also spoke about the NPFL and what he thinks LMC and Clubs must do to make sure we have a better 2021/2022 league season “The LMC must build on the successes of last season, and make sure the referees perform better this time, though their performance wasn’t bad last season but it can get better”.

He also spoke on the Super Eagles chances of booking the tickets for the 2022 FIFA World Cup In Qatar and doing well in the upcoming African Cup Of Nations in Cameroon, he said ” I am a Nigerian and every Nigerian is expected to pray for the Super Eagles to do well, I want to advise the Coach (Gernot Rhor) to reduce the way he invites new players to the team, because such can affect the team’s stability” he said.
