Uche Franklin Okoro saw 90 minutes of action in a friendly game as Enyimba FC beat ambitious Proswealth FA today in a 1-1 share of the spoils.

Coach Finidi George saddled the young defender with the left back responsibility, playing alongside Nabil Yarou, Abel James and Former Nasarawa United right back, Chidozie Obasi in a 4-3-3 tactical set up.

It was the Elephants who expectedly got an early breakthrough in the 10 minute. Uche’s surging run down the left flank after having been fed by Ekene Awaziem was sumptuously delivered by him deep inside the opponent’s box, then an onrushing Awaziem calmly slotted home his effort for the first goal of the encounter.

A couple of times he combined with Emeka Obioma down the flank to initiate an offensive approach against the visitors, also tracking back to cover the gap behind at intervals.

He made some timely cut backs and interceptions to avert couple of dangerous moments instigated by the visitors, a performance that saw him praised for his effort by coach Finidi George

The young defender was a delight to watch irrespective of the fact that he was drafted into an unlikely position yet he thrived massively, with series of brilliant deliveries.

He is bound for strides in his new adventure with this kind of performance, he is a colossus that is not deterred by challenges ahead of him as resilience has been his watchword lately as he has played himself into the heart of the technical crew of the Elephants alongside his teammates already.
