Wife of Ekiti State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mrs Oluwatoyin Awopetu has charged members of the All Progressive Congress, APC not to relent in their efforts towards the June 18 gubernatorial election in the State.
Mrs Oluwatoyin Awopetu gave the charge in a town hall meeting when she hosted the women wing from ward 10 and 11 of the party in Ekiti South West.
She emphasized that winning the governorship election should be the ultimate goal, urging the women to unite as a family on the task ahead.
“The ultimate goal is to work and ensure victory for our governorship candidate, Mr Biodun Oyebanji at the election on June 18. It is important that we all come together under one voice and work for him.
“I cannot thank you enough for your commitment to the party’s activities these past months. You have shown that Ogotun women are for Oyebanji and we shall all sing songs of victory on June 18.
“I encourage you my mothers, sisters and friend not to relent in this pursuit until we hit the target. Politics is not only by receiving but you need to also sow a seed so you can reap it in future”, she declared.
She added: “I urge you to convince your fellow mothers, sisters and friends to vote massively for Oyebanji because he is someone that has the interest in ensuring better life for the people in Ekiti, especially women and children.”
Mrs Awopetu enjoined the women to be more determined in ensuring that the party emerge victorious during the June 18 Governorship polls in the State.
