…hails interim head coach Itoro Atat’s impact
FC ONE Rockets captain Ugochukwu Obiri is confident the team will experience a turnaround and climb up the Nigeria National League (NNL) Southern Conference Group B2 log.
Obiri gave the assurance while speaking to the club’s media in the build up to Saturday’s clash with Cynosure FC at the Nest of Champions.
“We’ve been talking to ourselves and with the new changes in the team, I believe with the agreement we’ve made with the boys, we are going to give our best to ensure that we move up to the top.”
The midfielder also gave kudos to interim head coach Itoro Xavier Atat for putting the team in shape since taking over this week, while also hopeful that tomorrow’s game against Cynosure FC will end in victory for FC ONE Rockets.
“With the little he has given us, I think tomorrow will be a good day for us. Because since he came in, he has been trying to his best to give us enough for us to go into the game… Tomorrow will be a better day for us and I see us winning with like two, three or four goals.”
The Indomitables are 10th on the Southern Conference Group B2 log with 18 points from 14 games.
