Besiktas have completed the signing of Nigeria defender Glory Ogbonna from Turkish league leaders ALG Spor until the end of the season.
The Super Falcons versatile player have been closely monitored by Besiktas who are looking to qualify for the playoffs.
The former Edo Queens player after a successful medical was unveiled at the Vodafone Stadium and handed jersey No 20.
During her time at ALG Spor, Ogbonna helped her team to top spot and are poised for the playoffs.
The former African Women Cup of Nations, AWCON winner is the latest signing for Beşiktaş Vodafone women’s football team Coach, Suat Okyar who looks to bolster his squad for the remainder of the season as the team from Turkey is in 5th position with 20 points.
Reacting to her move, Ogbonna, said: “This is one move i never saw coming, when the offer came, I look at their project and it was wonderful so I decided to key in.
Besiktas is a good club, they have got ambition, I want to give my all to the club and help them secure the playoffs ticket.”
During her time at ALG Spor, Ogbonna featured 10 times registering one goal and two assists.
Following her addition, she becomes the second Nigerian at the club, teaming up with compatriot Vivian Ikechukwu.
