The Nigeria Football Coaches Association, NFCA Ekiti State Chapter has elected new excos to pilot the affairs of the association for another four years.
The elective congress was at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday afternoon.
Osun Coaches Association under the South West Coahes Forum led by Mr Adebayo Adesina and Adeleke were on hand to coordinate the election which saw Mayowa Afolabi emerge as the association’s chairman unopposed with a total number of 40 votes at elective congress.
The immediate past chairman, Kehinde Anjorin in his opening remarks thanked the Governor of the State Mr. Biodun Oyebanji for his unflinching interest in sports especially sponsoring Ekiti State contingent to the last sports festival in Delta State, also for rewarding the athletes and officials financially.
Anjorin also acknowledged the support of the Ekiti State Foootball Association ably led by the highly cerebral and workaholic chairman, Bayo Olanlege for his quality leadership and support to the Coaches Association.
“As the chairman of the coaches for over three years, we were able to mobilize and register new members/coaches all over the State. Encouraged coaches to participate in all Football Association being run by the State FA.
“We made sure coaches were trained, retrained and coaching clinics organized in conjunction with the State FA. More coaches attended the NIS and CAF licensed courses under my watch,” said Anjorin among his achievements in office.
Kehinde Anjorin led excos was dissolved to usher in new excos to take control of the leadership of the association.
Two positions were keenly contested for; the office of the vice president and the welfare officer.
Adeyeba Ayodele defeated Jimoh Quadri with 29 to 10 votes to emerge the Vice President while Bosede Ogunbuyide was elected welfare officer after she garnered 28 votes to beat Anise Stephen who scored 12 votes.

Bosede Ogunbuyide – Welfare Officer
Abiodun Bright – Training Officer I
Oluwayomi Patrick – Training Officer II
