In my last piece on Arsenal football club, I penned down genuine reasons why they are going to lose the English Premier League title to Manchester city FC.

Consequently, I was not surprised by the vitriols which accompanied my most sincere submission, with some fanatical fans calling for my head on a platter; an innocent observer might think this writer have committed a treasonable offence.

On that day, after Arsenal’s blatant, albeit typical surrender of a two-goal lead against this season’s sleeping giants, Liverpool FC, I knew history always have a way of repeating itself.

Coming into Arsenal’s match against a toothless West Ham side toying with relegation, I did not expect Arsenal to claim all points, but what we all saw was archetypical Arsenal, a team infamous for self-sabotage when push comes to shove.

Admittedly, this game against the Hammers was on paper one of the easiest matches for Arsenal in the title run-in, Arsenal took a two-goal lead and looked like a house on fire, but as usual they capitulated, only to settle for a point against a lowly West Ham team on the brink.

Be that as it may, I would love to reiterate for the umpteenth time, that Arsenal will “bottle” this league title challenge, and like a former Watford captain once said, “Arsenal lack the cojones”, the winning mentality to get over the line ahead of Manchester city and it will take a disaster of epic proportions for the noisy neighbors from Manchester not to take full advantage of Arsenal’s dropped points.

Arsenal will not win the league and you first heard it on this platform from Elvis Frank.
