Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has showered praises on Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling ahead of their star game against Liverpool at Anfield. Pep spoke at a press conference prior the game and he said: “Aguero was born scoring goals, his talent is in that position.” Reacting to his having two great strikers in Sterling and Aguero, Pep said: “We have two incredible strikers who play similar minutes. If we are able to play well as a team, Sterling will increase his performance.
As to where his team is on the log, Pep continued
“In November, it is not the end. I don’t know what will happen but there are a lot of games. Experience in this sport says we have to fight until the end.” http://www.bellsnews.com/sports/nwfl-congratulates-wike-rivers-angels-on-super-4-feat/
You will ask if we will in the Champions League in February, I don’t have the answer.”
In what was modest and humble response, he praised Liverpool as the best team last season, he also said they were the best contender he has ever faced.
“For me as a manager, last season when we won the league, they (Liverpool) were the best contender I ever faced in my career. Right now, they are one of the strongest teams in the world. We are going to try to follow the plan in this game.”
Pep is worried about the absence of Ederson who was injured during the Champions league game in midweek and concludes he cannot play.
“Ederson is not able to play, I don’t know how long he will be out. For Sunday, he cannot play.”
He thinks Claudio Bravo is an exceptional keeper who can fit in immediately: “Bravo can do it too. He is an exceptional keeper, won a lot of international games with Chile. I have no doubts.”
Manchester City will hope to cut down Liverpool’s 6 points gap when both teams meet at Anfield on Sunday
