Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, has welcomed Joseph Yobo to the Super Eagles Eagles as an assistant coach, as he is set to replace former Rangers and CHAN Eagles coach, Imama Amapakabo.

Speaking to Veteran Journalist, Osasu Obayiuwana, Rohr said he is open to work with Yobo though he has little or no national team experience and he reiterated his commitment to help Nigerian coaches grow as contained in his contract with the NFF.

Rohr said he had no problem with NFF’s decision as it is their prerogative to assign him local assistant coaches whom he will work with and help grow in their careers.

Gernot Rohr’s contract situation has been a cause for worry as his contract is yet to be renewed by the Nigerian Football Federation.

On his part, Joseph Yobo was a dedicated player to the Super Eagles and was a brilliant captain of the side. Joseph Yobo will join the team when they regroup for their next game
