The Abia State Government has warned all those parading themselves as petroleum task force officials in the state to stop forthwith or be prepared to face the full weight of the law .
The Secretary to the State Government Barr. Chris Ezem stated this while addressing former chairmen of petroleum task force in the state.
Barr. Ezem reminded them that all the various petroleum task force committees has long been dissolved in line with Governor”s directives adding that the present administration will no longer tolerate multiplicity of task force in the state.
He assured that Government, plans to bring all the petroleum task force under one umbrella for orderliness and to protect the interest of the state, dealers and that of the consumers while calling on security agencies and other Government functionaries to be on red alert to apprehend defaulters.
The commissioner for Petroleum, Hon. Eze Nwanganga and his counterpart in Homeland security Hon. Sopuruchi Bekee were present during the meeting held at the conference room of the SSG.
