Afeez Nosiru who is one of the best midfielders in the Nigerian Professional Football League has become an household name with his consistency both at the club level and National assignments.

Nosiru was again on hand when Nigeria Super Eagles Team B played against Costa Rica on Thursday in an international friendly encounter.

Although the Nigeria team lost to the South American side, but the effect of Afeez was on the high side in the game where the home based boys gave a fair account of themselves.

It is adjudged that the Nigeria team could have made the best of the game if they have had enough time of playing together ahead of the match even though their individual brilliance including that of Afeez Nosiru was obvious in the index of performance.

Leading the charge from the middle of the park, Afeez in his ubiquitous nature was moving from end to end on the pitch- thus sharing the command of the midfield with no one.

In his usual manner, Afeez who has missed some trips of the Home based Eagles due to passport issues proved so well to be known in the game in San Jose, creating yet another impressionable moment that can’t be forgotten too quickly.

His complete passes and roving movement against Costa Rica won the hearts of many Nigerians who watched the friendly game.

Many even took to social media to express their happiness about Nosiru claiming that the Kwara United star can be a replacement for Ndidi in the main Super Eagles.

While Afeez will be looking forward to more outing with the three-time African champions, he has once again proved to be a force to be reckoned with in the scheme of things both at the club and National team level.

One can’t also forget quickly how his efforts and commitment at Kwara United together with that of his teammates changed the fortune of the Harmony Boys.

For Afeez, giving his best when duty calls is not negotiable and he can’t just stop doing that.

Meanwhile, Kwara United will have to buckle up well to keep Afeez Nosiru in their squad before the commencement of the new season as the former Niger Tornadoes star is a target for top NPFL sides and also clubs abroad.
