Britain will finally leave the European Union on January 31. This is because Queen Elizabeth has given her assent to the Brexit deal and it now becomes law in the country. The withdrawal agreement reached with EU officials by Prime Minister, Boris Johnson will see success with the assent of the Queen. This approval came in accordance with the royal assent act 1967 as was announced by Deputy Speaker, Nigel Evans. It is known as European Union Withdrawal Agreement Act, 2020.
Millions of Britain’s citizens voted on the Brexit deal and majority voted for UK’s exit from the European Union. The deal was finally brokered by Prime Minister, Boris Johnson. While many citizens applaud the move, some citizens have planned to lift a banner saying they love EU while another group have planned to raise a counter banner which says they love the UK.
It is left to be seen how this Brexit deal will affect the economy of Britain and the political Independence of Ireland, Scotland and Wales
