Enyimba FC boosted their chance of making it to the next round of the CAF Confederations Cup with a over TS Galaxy of South Africa. The game started with both sides searching for the opener. In the second minute, Victor Mbaoma’s freekick came off the bar but the rebound was wasted.
Enyimba were rewarded in the 7th minute when Victor Mbaoma raced to meet a sublime cross by Bashir and slotted home. Enyimba played confidently after the goal and asked many questions of the TS Galaxy defence. In the 19th minute, TS Galaxy had an effort at goal but that didn’t trouble Afelokhai. Jean Marrie missed an opportunity to add a second goal when he shot wide from close range.

In the second half, coach Usman Abd’Allah brought in Oladapo and Usule and that enlivened the Enyimba attack with Usule threatening the Galaxy defence.
Usule’s persistence was finally repaid when he scored for Enyimba after the Galaxy goalkeeper parried Abalogu’s cross.
Usule came close again in the 80th minute after he cut in into the box and fired a low shot was kept out by the Galaxy goalkeeper.
Afelokhai showed why he is a national team goalkeeper with smart world class saves to deny Galaxy chances.
Both sides searched for another goal but the game ended 2-0
