There was a story of a man named Yusuf. He was a prisoner in a strange land. He was actually a slave but his master’s wife lied against him and that led him into the prison. While in prison, he met the butler of the king who was also thrown into the prison.
However, he was circumspect enough to develop a good relationship with him and never despised him.
This butler was later released and returned to his former post as the butler of the king. He was the one that went on to recommend Yusuf to the king two years after he was released from prison.
Yusuf was later invited by the king and he proffered a solution to the king’s problem and that led him to becoming the most powerful person after the king in that country.
On the contrary many have missed their butler. They have ignored the little person that could have recommended them to the powerful people that would have been their helper.
You must never look down on anyone because that person may be the link to your breakthrough person. It could be your gateman, washerman, gardener, maidservant or driver.
Life is full of mysteries that GOD WILL HIDE YOUR NEXT LEVEL INSIDE THOSE THINGS THAT ARE OF NO VALUE TO YOU. You must build bridges and not fences.
It does not cost you anything to be nice to the people around you. Treat people nicely, treat them like human beings and not like slaves. A slave today can become a king tomorrow. Life is totally unpredictable.
Relationship building is key to unlocking the virtues in every man. Invest in every man you come across. Help every woman who is in need around you.
Celebrate everyone in your environment. Don’t miss your butler, you may never have another opportunity.
