Rivers United right back, Enyinnaya Kazie says his team hopes to win the two-legged CAF Confederation Cup tie with Al Masry in order to qualify to the next round. Kazie spoke to the media shortly after River United beat Al Masry 2-1 in Aba
“We have that hope that we will qualify. We are expecting to qualify to the next stage”
Kazie was one of the best players on the pitch as he played with precision and energy which drew applause from fans. The right back said he hopes that his performances for the team can help him get a contract outside the shores of the country
“I’m aspiring to leave this country in two to four years, that is the reason why I am working hard.”
He urged fans of the club to be hopeful and to pray for the team as they embark a journey to Egypt
“They should be hopeful and pray for us, hopefully we must qualify”
