FC ONE Rockets Striker Israel Consul is confident of a victorious outing when Ottasolo of Lagos come calling on Saturday in the first ever meeting between both sides in a Nigeria National League (NNL) match day seven encounter at the training pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the game, Consul expressed optimism in the team’s ability to get back on track.
“You can see the spirit is very high. The training has been very good. We’ve been playing very good just that we have been unlucky, but I believe tomorrow we are going to do better than we’ve been doing in our last games.
“From the way we’ve trained this week, the goals have been coming for our strikers and tomorrow we will win and win comfortably.”
Consul who has found the back of the net once this season is hungry for more goals starting with Saturday’s home clash against Ottasolo.
“I have a target for myself that if I play three games I must get a goal and I have a range for the season, although I’m very far from it…
“Tomorrow I could get a couple of goals to increase my goal tally and that will boost my confidence and the team’s confidence too…
“I believe tomorrow I’m going to get a goal at least for the team”.
ONE Rockets have recorded two wins, one draw and three losses this season from six games and sit seventh on the NNL Group B1 log with seven points.
