Enyimba fans in Eket were in cloud nine as they saw their team file out against Heartland in the Oriental Derby in Eket. The NPFL Champions beat Heartland 1-0 in Eket to book a spot to the Naija Super 8 in Lagos.

As the team came out of the tunnel, there was a loud applause. Finidi rested some of the players that started regularly in Lagos. Murphy Ndukwu scored the winner to send the team to the Super 8 in Lagos.

As the team boarded their bus and was about to move, one of the fans approached the team and expressed great joy.

“God bless you all. You will win this trophy. You have made we Abians proud.” He said as the players responded to his blessings.
