Remo Stars talented defender, Chibueze Samuel Chinonso has revealed that he hopes to play for the Super Eagles one day and has also outlined his motivating factors a young player.

The talented hard working footballer from Enugu state started as a left full back from Evergreen football academy of Lagos. He is versatile and can play in central midfield and in the defence.

He started at a young age in the streets of Ojo Lagos. When he was younger, he wanted to be a banker after football. That dream is still there as he says he wants to further his education in the future. Chinonso spoke in an online interview

He spoke about his motivation

“My motivation has been from my childhood. My peers always say good words to me after every game. They tell me ‘Samuel you’re a good player, we believe if you keep pushing and don’t stop, you’ll make it in this career.'” He also said his parents motivate him even when they have not watched him play.

He made his debut for Remo Stars as a left full back and he said it was challenging for him to adapt to the team. He said he kept his focus and that helped him to overcome the challenges. Samuel then highlighted the help he received from coach Daniel Ogunmodede who always motivated him and other players and helped them see the need to be consistent.

At the beginning of every season, players have aspirations. For Chinonso, his aspiration is for him to sign for a bigger club. He also wants to improve various aspects of his game and help Remo Stars to get promoted to the NPFL

As a left back, his role model is Real Madrid’s Marcelo and as a defensive midfielder, it has to be Adrian Rabiot, Wilfred Ndidi and Samuel Umtiti

The dream of almost every player is to play for the senior national team, a Chinonso he he has the chance to play for the Super Eagles and sums it with “what will fall in place will fall in place”
