Enyimba FC attacker said he’s ‘inspired’ by ex Enyimba captain and now with Akwa United Mfon Udoh ahead of the ‘dream’ game against Akwa United in the NPFL21 WEEK 12 match.
Orok has been one of the protagonists at the Enyimba International Stadium this term and this week he’s expected to start when The Promise Keepers from Uyo arrive for the first match against the Elephants this season.
“Playing against Akwa United is perhaps one of the greatest dream from my childhood,” Orok told NEFC.
“And I’m inspired by [Mfon] Udoh. I played with him here when I arrived in 2017, he took me in and gave me all the necessary supports that I needed to succeed here in Enyimba as an elder brother. But the most important thing is to face it as we know and with our game, without distorting ourselves.”
Gabriel Orok, who moved to Enyimba from Calabar Rovers in July 2017, spoke about his time with the Paradise club.
“I was young and inexperienced, it was right that I moved elsewhere,” he said. “Today, I’m happy at Enyimba and of my path.”
Gabriel has impressed so much with The People’s Elephant that he has been tipped to claim a place in Gernot Rohr’s Super Eagles squad in future by many pundits.
“I’m giving everything. We are many, but this makes it more stimulating.”
