Nigeria’s U-17 National Women’s football team, the Flamingoes will play against Nigeria Women Football League side, Naija Ratels on Saturday in preparation for the World Cup qualifying game against DR Congo
The girls tutored by Olowookere Bankole has been in Abuja preparing for the important tie in Kinshasa. The grade A friendly game against Naija Ratels will be at the FIFA Goal Project pitch at 4pm
The Flamingoes have been in fine form since they started playing preparatory games and have lots of goals to show for their efforts. Olowookere’s girls beat WACO Ladies 13-0, spanked Josiah Angels 6-0 and brushed FOSLA Academy aside with a 4-0 victory
On their part, Naija Ratels beat former NWFL champions, Pelican Stars 3-0 on Wednesday and are third on the table in group A of the NWFL.
Coach Bankole is impressed with his team though he believes there is still work to be done. The experienced youth team coach is confident that his girls will deliver what Nigerians expect

The Flamingoes will play against their seniors, the Falconets before flying to Kinshasa where they will play against DR Congo next weekend
