11 months after Nigeria’s participation at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Super Eagles goalkeeper and Enyimba captain, John Noble is yet to be paid his bonuses, after other members of the team has been paid. His entitlements which amounts to $25,000 is still with the NFF.
John Noble was the only NPFL player in the team. According to journalist, Shina Oludare, Super Eagles players got their bonuses two months after the tournament.
Investigation reveal that Noble did not have a domiciliary account then but sought to get his bonus by proxy, which did not work.
Noble later got his domiciliary account and forwarded to the Amaju-Pinnick-led NFF but there was no response.
In October, Ibrahim Gusau became the NFF President and inherited the debt. This matter was brought to his attention and the NFF but almost three months after, nothing has been done.
Although everyone at the NFF is aware, including former NFF President Amaju Pinnick, LMC boss Shehu Dikko and the team Secretary, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, no reasonable explanation has been given, except a basket of excuses.
