The President hosted the Central African Republic at the State House and top most on President Muhammadu Buhari’s lips the issue of insecurity in the Lake Chad region and in both countries. President Muhammadu Buhari said that is why a summit of Lake Chad Basin Commission is important in order to discuss the situation in Chad and its implications for neighbouring countries
He said that the number of people affected by issues surrounding the Lake Chad Basin makes it an issue of interest to Nigeria and other countries
On his part, President Touadera commiserated with the President over the plane crash which claimed the life of former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and ten others. He said that Central African Republic will need Nigeria’s help to rebuild its Army. He further said that his country want closer ties with Nigeria
