Nigeria’s Super Falcons striker, has received her plaque for an award she won last month. Uchenna Kanu won an Academic award in the US for her contributions to Southeastern University.
The College Sports Information Directors of America presented an award of excellence to Kanu for her outstanding academic and athletic achievements.

The Super Falcons forward was last week awarded the national player of the year in America. Kanu played in the NAIA collegiate league and has been cleared to play in America’s top tier league, the NWSL.
Kanu won the award for scoring most goals at a single school and is the all-time highest goal scorer in the league when she scored 147 goals for Southeastern University.
Kanu scored 10 goals for the Falcons at the WAFU Cup of Nations and also played at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France last year.
She also holds the record for most goals scored in a single game with 5 goals and has numerous awards. She also played for Nigeria at the U-17 and U-20 levels of women’s football, playing at the U-17 and U-20 women’s world cup
