Enyimba’s attacking midfielder, Onuwa Chukwuka has been presented with a plaque for winning the man of the match award in Enyimba’s victory over Nasarawa United in Enyimba’s first game of the season in the ongoing 2019/2020 NPFL season.
He won the inaugural man of the match award for NPFL home games prosecuted at the Enyimba International Stadium. The award is won based on votes by the fans on that match day.
The award is coordinated by Aba Sports Journalists. Onuwa’s plaque was presented to him by the Head of service to the Abia State government, Sir Onyi Nwanma, shortly before the commencement of the 2nd half between Enyimba and Abia Warriors in a game Enyimba went on to win 2-1 in an exciting Abia derby.
Fans are given opportunity to vote their man of the match award after every league game Enyimba plays at home.
The former MFM top midfielder was all smiles as he received his plaque and went to celebrate with fans who could not hide their excitement as they celebrated with the midfielder.
Since joining Enyimba from MFM, Onuwa has won the objective admiration of fans for his football skills and game pattern, which gladdens the hearts of fans.
