Super Falcons forward, Uchenna Kanu has sealed a record move to Sporting Louisville FC in the US from on a two-year deal from Tigres of Mexico. It is a record money signing for a player from the Mexican league to the NWSL in America.
She scored 23 goals and 6 assists in 38 games for Tigress of Mexico, in 2,576 minutes of football.
She helped the Mexican side to win the league, becoming the first African woman to win the league. She scored the winner for Tigres in their victory against Bayern Munich to lift the Amazon cup.
Kanu returns to the US where she scored 157 goals and got 53 assists as an NAIA player, winning the player of the year in 2017 and scoring a record 57 goals in a single season. She is the all-time college scorer in the US.
