Super Falcons striker, Uchenna Kanu has set a new record in the NAIA League in USA. The Southeastern University striker scored her 147th goal in the league and became the all-time collegiate record scorer for most goals scored in a single school.

She scored a header against South Carolina Beaufort in an 8-0 win and got a hat-trick in the process, thereby beating the record set by Julia Schojan of Fisher College in 2017.

For the 17th time in her career in the US, she was awarded The Sun offensive player of the week. Last week, she scored five goals and had four assists in the process as she led her team to win 3 games in five days.

At the WAFU Cup, Uchenna scored 10 goals for the Falcons and was an integral member of the team that made it to the round of 16 at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.

Reacting to the feat set by his player, Southeastern University’s head coach, Randy Belli says Uche is a special player “Uche is a special player. We expect her to score in every game. It is a heavy burden to bear as a player. She has set that record in three and a half years; she is a first class player and we are very proud of her.”

Uchenna Kanu thanked her team mates and said they make her job easier on the field and off the field.

Uchenna scores most of her goals with her head because of her height.
