The much talked about pre season tournament in Nigeria, Popularly known as Value Jet Cup has been boosted by the nation continental teams.
The leading Professional Football League teams who are to be hoisting the nation flag high in the continental competitions have expressed their readiness to storm Ikenne, the home ground of Remo Stars for the maiden edition of the ValueJet Preseason Tournament.
According to a statement made available to newsmen by the organising committee of the airline, Oye Bawala, he stated that the Jos based outfit, Plateau United has been confirmed to take part in the most prestigious tourney as he informed that they are currently on transit to the Ogun State for the tourney.
Joining Plateau United is the recently CAF Confederation Cup slot holder, Remo Stars. It would be recalled that the team which domiciled in the State emerged third position in the just concluded NPFL and the club is going to be guided by the Portuguese returnee, Coach Ogunmodede while Kwara United, the high flying Afonja Warriors will complete the long list of the participants.
The year 2021/2022 League Champions, Rivers United, under the tutelage of Stanley Eguma, will also be in attendance on Wednesday ahead of the draws which was billed to hold same day

Oye Bawala, while addressing the media team on Tuesday, he said:”I can confirm to you that we have five clubs in the NPFL and another five playing in the Nigeria National League coming for the preseason,”.
“The four continental teams and Shooting Stars are the five in the NPFL while there are five others from the NNL.
“Tomorrow, Wednesday is the arrival for all the clubs and we are going to be conducting the draws same day so as to start the following day, Thursday, 24th August, 2022” . Bawala assured
