The CEO of Dino SC, Samuel Columbus has promised that his team would come back stronger after their 1-0 loss to Dannaz FC in a TCC Cup game that was played at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode
Columbus said his team were depleted before the game and he just 12 players but that would not be an excuse
“We came to the match to the match with only 12 men, we’ve been suffering from late resumption, most of our players are not back due to the holiday. That’s the problem we had, we had to improvise because the players played in positions they were not used to, this is part of the reasons we lost the match. We hope that most of the players will be back soon and we will return to winning ways”
Pressure Emmanuel’s 6th minute goal was enough for Dannaz FC to get their revenge from Dino SC and Columbus believes the team will return to its glory days especially with the return of their head coach from holidays
“You can see that our head coach was not present because he also travelled on holiday and is not yet back. He is coming back tomorrow. I would have cancelled but we just had to honour the match. Most of the players came about 3-5 days before the match. I had to play the role of the coach in this game. We gave a good fight, it is football; anything can happen”
