With each passing day, the Super Eagles are faced with a daunting task of being at the Qatar World Cup later this year by stopping their bitter rivals, the Black Stars of Ghana through the two-leg FIFA qualification encounter coming up next month. Having this in mind, it is every soccer loving Nigerian’s desire that the darling Super Eagles do the needful by qualifying the country for yet another World Cup.

Many sports lovers both in and out of the country bemoaned the lackluster attitude of the Super Eagles in the game against Tunisia at the just concluded AFCON and going by this, there is huge tension in the land as to what to expect in the fast approaching games against the Black Stars of Ghana.

As the preparations thickens with the appointment and addition of experienced Emmanuel Amuneke to Super Eagles technical bench, some parts of the team need reinforcement too and there has been a clamour for quality home based players to be part of the team.

One home based player that suits immediate need for an enforcer in the fold of Super Eagles is the versatile Austin Oladapo, the captain of Enyimba Football Club of Aba.

Austin Oladapo has been in terrifying form since returning to the team and has contributed to goals for the Aba Elephants.

He is blessed with a wonderful left foot and can shoot from a distance and provides options during freekicks.

No Nigerian midfielder home or abroad have scored more outside the box goals (6) than the Enyimba captain. He is strong and experienced and represents the best we have in the NPFL. His contribution to the team could be seen and he will give the coaches option in central midfield

I am sure many Nigeria sports lovers, enthusiasts and managers in the NPFL would be happy to see their own in the fold of the Super Eagles. Oladapo deserves a chance. Eguavoen can make this happen. It will increase the Faith we have in our own home based Players and encourage the others to push harder and by extension making our league more competitive.
